Job Summary:
Do you enjoy helping others reach their full potential? Are you looking for new ways to enhance the learning experiences for students? If so, Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the ideal opportunity for you.
KVCC is seeking a Writing Tutor in the Learning Center to start Fall Semester 2022.
This position will provide tutoring to KVCC students in one-on-one and small group settings. The work schedule may include daytime and/or evening hours, 10-15 hours per week. Excellent writing skills required, as is the ability to explain the writing process to college students. Experience working with developmental writers and a knowledge of study skills helpful.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants interested in tutoring must possess a 3.5 grade point average or better in the discipline and have excellent communication skills.
Kalamazoo Valley Community College reserves the right to close this job posting before the closing date in the event that a qualified pool of candidates is obtained.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Prior tutoring and/or teaching experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Work Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week; preferably afternoon and evening hours.
