Prepare and teach one section (3 credits) of FINA 4931, Topics in Finance. The topic this semester is Applied Venture Capital
Course Description -
Introductory course in venture capital to help understand the basic foundations and nature of venture capital, how it fits into the financial industry, types and stages of venture capital investing, deal flow dynamics, valuation/terms/structure and current issues in venture capital. Focus broadly includes all aspects of venture capital, with an emphasis on the investment side. This class takes a pragmatic, applied approach to the material and will include many guest speakers.

Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare a well-organized syllabus and teaching plan that clearly reflects the course objectives as well as expectations, conduct well-prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engages students, administer meaningful and relevant assignments, and grade students’ work with an emphasis on student development.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience strongly preferred.
