Training/HR Coordinator

Job Description

DUTIES: The coordinator is responsible for the coordination, development, monitoring, and completion of project initiatives associated with training OFTC employees. Provides support to ensure employee training is completed. Enters and reviews data for training requirements and reports. Facilitates collaborative committees to achieve desired training. Coordinates faculty and staff professional development. Coordinates faculty and staff performance evaluations. Develops, implements, and oversees the maintenance of filing, recordkeeping, and distribution of materials. Keeps abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact training initiatives. Assists with employee onboarding. Maintains excellent working relationships with and serves as a liaison to internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned. The Training Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree *and* 2 years of related work experience. NOTE: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. Preferred qualifications: Associates or Bachelors degree

COMPENTENCIES: Knowledge of project management in an academic setting. Knowledge of personal best practices, rules, and testing needs. Ability to break larger tasks into manageable smaller tasks. Organizational skills. Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs. Decision making and problem-solving skills. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skills in accurate recordkeeping. Oral and written communication skills.

SALARY/BENEFITS: $38,000-40,000 range. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annual, personal, and sick leave, State of Georgia Flexible Benefits and State Health Benefit Plan. The salary for this position will be funded 100% with Federal grant money. 0% of the salary will be funded with nongovernment sources.
