Summary:
The Senior Research and Evaluation Project Manager (Senior PM) will uphold ICH's core values: understanding and respecting diverse populations as well as the uniqueness of communities, safe-guarding privacy, supporting and building lasting partnerships, and improving the health status of communities.

Responsibilities:
Evaluation and Research Project Support:

  • The Senior PM serves as either Principal Investigator or Project Manager, depending on the parameters of the project.
  • Develop scopes of work, timelines, and work plans
  • Manage project team (staff, interns, and volunteers) to meet project goals
  • Manage project activities, including evaluation and research plan development, instrument design, data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage project scope to ensure project is on budget and on time
  • Participate in the collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Effectively manage relationships with ICH clients/partners
  • Participate in meetings and facilitate discussions about project activities
  • Collaborate with project data analysts, including working with lead analyst to determine analytical needs and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with IRB paperwork and other regulations
  • Provide training and technical assistance in response to requests from academic, hospital and community partners
  • Troubleshoot problems related to project personnel, community partners, methods, etc.

Dissemination:

  • In collaboration with project team, disseminate project results to community and academic audiences through journal articles, reports, presentations, and other materials
  • Represent ICH at local, state and national meetings and other venues

Supervision and Mentoring:

  • Serve as supervisor for Research Associates and Epi Is, with responsibility for supporting the supervisee's professional development, overseeing their performance reviews, addressing areas of needed performance improvement, and overseeing project workload
  • Identify and support professional development interests of Level Is assigned to projects managed by the Senior PM
  • Provide supervision for interns

Revenue Generation:

  • Support revenue generation by working with management-level and RES staff and project teams to write grants and proposals
  • Identify new partnership opportunities and maintain and/or develop community, academic and inter-agency relations
  • Identify personal business development goals and work to achieve them each year

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Participate in organizational meetings
  • Support ICH visibility and communications efforts, including writing blog posts, helping to develop marketing materials, etc.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree strongly preferred, in public health, anthropology, sociology, or related field
  • At least 5.5 years of progressively responsible research and/or evaluation experience required, including project management/coordination, required
  • Experience developing research and evaluation plans and instruments, collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and writing reports
  • Experience with community-based participatory research and evaluation, including working with community organizations
  • Experience supervising and managing staff
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and be flexible in day-to-day work tasks
  • Strong writing, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other ICH staff
  • Experience working with community organizations
  • Ability to interact respectfully with community partners and community members
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MSOffice
  • Ability to independently travel to meetings locally, regionally and statewide
