The Supervisor will provide direct supervision to assigned clinical staff. Provide community-based crisis services and Involuntary Treatment Act evaluations to individuals in crisis as well as behavioral health emergencies as assigned by Director or Program Administrator. Design and implement "viable less restrictive alternatives to hospitalization." Provide 24/7 supervisor back-up support on a rotating basis. Supervise and train Crisis Triage Specialists and Crisis Response Specialists (Designated Crisis Responder II) staff. Support, promote and actively work toward the delivery of telephone triage and 24-hour crisis intervention/ITA services. Supervision and training may be provided in an office and field setting. Facilitate internal and external customers satisfaction and responsiveness. Participate in planning and evaluation of the program. Provide consultation and education to other FBH staff and to the community. Participate in peer review, in-house educational and administrative meetings as directed. Monitor and facilitate communication of staff, individuals and community we serve, interagency and crisis response services interaction. Available for alternate shift work as needed.

SHIFT - Sunday - Wednesday 9:00 PM-7:30AM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate in planning and evaluation of the program.

  • Utilize monitoring tools to ensure staff’s compliance with contract, RCW and WAC requirements for the Apple Health Plan Managed Care Organizations, the SCRBH (ASO), DOH, HCA, or other Contractor monitoring.

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff to ensure compliance and implementation of telephone triage, crisis interventions, DCR Protocols, and ITA evaluations/investigations.

  • Ensure DCRs meet response criteria including follow up of high-risk individuals.

  • Manage assigned Crisis Response workflow area.

  • Provide consultation and education to other FBH staff and to the community.

  • Provide direct crisis services and Involuntary Treatment Act evaluation as required.

  • Maintain and enhance customer service to ensure that both external and internal customers of FBH have a positive experience at FBH.

  • Ensure all assigned staff perform FBH charting requirements, correspondence, Workday, and other paperwork in a complete and timely manner.

  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all FBH staff.

  • Understand and adhere to, and ensure all assigned staff comply with, all state WAC and RCW requirements, DCR protocols and FBH policies and procedures.

  • Ensure equal opportunity for all assigned staff with regards to work assignments, training, promotions and other conditions and privileges of employment.

  • Interview, select and train new employees. Plan, assign and direct work.

  • Mentor and coach employees, addressing performance or conduct issues as needed.

  • Address complaints and resolve problems.

  • FBH will attempt to hire supervisors for a fix shift however there maybe time that a supervisor maybe asked to work a different shift due to coverage concerns,

  • Provide supervisory back up as assigned.

  • Ensure the Director and management team are informed of pertinent matters on a regular basis.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

REQUIRED:

  • Master's degree in the behavioral sciences

  • Three years’ experience in clinical work and coordination of treatment services.

  • Must apply for Agency Affiliation within 30 days of hire.

  • Designation as a Mental Health Professional

  • Designation as a Designated Crisis Responder

  • Designated as a Child Mental Health Specialist

  • Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff in clinical service delivery, case conceptualization and assure staff compliance with administrative requirements.

  • Knowledge of models of service delivery including groups, skills training, brief/focused therapy, community-based intervention for children and/or adults with serious and persistent mental illness.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
