Chief Operating Officer

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking to appoint a highly experienced individual to the role of Chief Operating Officer. The successful executive will play a pivotal role in advancing the University towards achieving the 2025 strategic plan in a post pandemic world, as well as supporting the Vice-Chancellor in the leadership and effective operation of the university.

Being located in NSW third largest and coastal city, with sunning land and seascapes, UOW is a wonderful environment in which to work, supported by an organisational wide flexible approach to work location.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the performance of the key administrative portfolios of the University, including Finance, People & Culture, Technology and Facilities, through the execution of the University Strategy as set by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and the University Council. This exceptional opportunity will be suitable to someone with experience in successfully leading, managing and motivating a high functioning and a diverse portfolio in a large complex organisation.
