Description of Work
UNL has provided substantial funding to support the establishment of a Sexual Violence Prevention Center (SVPC) on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The person in this position will ideally be located in Pine Ridge, SD but working from Lincoln, NE or Rapid City, SD (with frequent trips to Pine Ridge, SD) will be considered. The Postdoctoral Associate in this position will work alongside Dr. Edwards and other researchers, staff, and students of the SVPC on various aspects of culturally-grounded sexual violence prevention and evaluation. The position is ideal for individuals wishing to ultimately pursue a variety of career paths including a tenure-track faculty position with combined focus on research, teaching, and mentoring as well as positions in non-academic settings.
