WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

AWARE invites applications for a DD Service Administrator to join their team. This position has the unique opportunity to work collaboratively to make an impact on the lives of adults with developmental disabilities in Montana. You will provide overall administrative supervision of assigned treatment programs. This will include scheduling staff, overseeing billing procedures, acting as a community liaison, providing direction to assigned staff and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the program(s), and conducting quality assurance reviews.

AWARE is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers quality, community-based support for people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities and families with children ages 0 to 8. We serve all 56 counties in Montana. AWARE’s Mission: We help people live independent lives.

  • We ensure people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities live in a home of their choice and provide the day-to-day support they need.
  • We help adults with disabilities find fulfilling employment, either through an AWARE program or in the community.
  • We support children ages 0-8 and their families through a number of early childhood programs in Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Helena.
  • We ensure adults and children live successfully in their communities, providing home visits, help in school, assistance with services, psychiatric assessment, and outpatient counseling.
  • We hire professional, experienced staff to serve the individuals we support, employing more than 800 employees across Montana.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • A thorough administrative understanding of social service/treatment related, and case management programs.
  • Requires fundamental knowledge of the following: appropriate agency, state, and federal laws, rules, procedures, policies, regulations governing such programs, business and management principles, and human resources.
  • Requires skills in oral, written and interpersonal and necessitates the ability to set goals and to meet them within established standards, to think critically, to recognize challenges and problem solve, to interpret and adapt guidelines to specific situations, and to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education/Experience:

  • Requires either (1) MS/MA Degree in a Business or Human Services related field; or (2) BA/BS degree in a Business or Human Services related field.
  • Three (3) years of direct employment related experience that includes staff supervision.
