Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
This position requires the following knowledge and abilities:
  • Strong discipline expertise and experience in teaching, especially in programming, discrete structures, data structures and algorithms, Internet and mobile development and others.
  • Practice active and experiential learning strategies.
  • Teach courses at a variety of times and/or delivery models such as days, evenings, face-to-face in the classroom, in hybrid/blended formats and online.
  • Participate regularly in department meetings and activities, and student activities. · Assess student academic achievement at classroom and department levels.
  • Familiarity with current software design techniques (e.g., DevOps, Agile, Scrum, etc.), tools (e.g., IDE, revision control, unit testing frameworks, etc.) and languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Participate in department responsibilities such as budgets, schedules, articulation agreements, program reviews, program assessment, curricula development, external partnerships, and staffing.
  • Available and willing to be actively engaged in student success and activities including clubs, advising and academic assisting.
  • Service to the college and the greater community.
  • Participate in achieving annual college, division, and departmental priorities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications(expected to have to enter job)
  • Master’s degree with a major in Computer Science, or
  • Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Computer Science.
