In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
  • Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

Job Description:

The Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program (HOPP) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) invite applications for tenure track faculty appointments at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Member. HOPP recruits outstanding physician-scientists across clinical disciplines in a single program to foster translational oncology research at the laboratory/clinical interface in an environment that encourages collaborative team science. Current research by HOPP faculty encompasses oncogenomic studies of various cancers, analysis of aberrant signal transduction pathways, preclinical evaluation of molecularly targeted agents, mechanisms of drug resistance to targeted and immune modulating agents, natural killer cell biology, new approaches to enhancing activity of engineered T cells, exploration of immune costimulation pathways and investigating the biology of mucosal immunity in the context of graft versus host disease.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop an independent research program as well as an interest in translational oncology. HOPP faculty will be housed in state-of-the-art laboratories in the Zuckerman Research Center and jointly appointed in the Department of his/her appropriate clinical specialty at MSK. Faculty will also be eligible to hold appointments in Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as well as the Weill Medical School and Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University.
