Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Work in tandem with UMD Admissions; recruit and hire admissions ambassadors; serving as a representative of Smith at admissions events, facilitating information sessions; planning and Participating in Admission recruitment events including Admitted Student Open Houses, Discover Maryland, Maryland Day, Visit Maryland Day, and Maryland Marquee Day, and other events as assigned. Work alongside Associate Dean to manage processing of new programs, i.e. minors, majors, certifications, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years’ experience in student leadership development and/or advising of student organizations or co-curricular activities.
- Experience in developing and coordinating student organizations and activities especially desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and dependability are a must for this high-visibility, high-energy position.
Preferences:
- Master’s Degree.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience within a business school environment.
