IT Administrator

Job Description

IT ADMINISTRATOR, Alumni Association, to provide high-level support for MITAA servers, client systems, hardware, and software tools, including installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing support.  Will monitor and administer clients remotely using endpoint management software; analyze technology resources, identify departmental needs, and recommend improvements; make mobile device purchase recommendations, provide tech support, and maintain upgrade schedules; administer SharePoint; maintin Active Directory group policy; provide technical orientation and training; and lead multiple IT projects and recommend approaches for activities/processes.  

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in a related field; five years’ experience supporting hybrid Windows and Macintosh environments; advanced-level knowledge of IT standards/policies; solid knowledge of MECM, JAMF, Active Directory, and Group Policy; proficiency managing a variety of technology and software in an enterprise setting, including Macintosh computers, iOS devices, Windows-based file servers, two-factor authentication, standard MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), cloud-based applications (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Google Suite), and other specialized applications (i.e., for developers and designers); experience managing enterprise-wide systems, security protocols, end-user support, and training and documentation; strong project management, diagnostic, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and oral and written communication skills; initiative; discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues; and willingness to learn about new technologies and take on new challenges.  Must be able to work independently and as part of cross-departmental functional groups; manage competing priorities and work successfully in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; work effectively with people at all technical and position levels; explain and clarify complex information; and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.  PREFERRED:  knowledge of SCCM, MDT, vSphere, Casper, win.mit.edu domain, and PCI.  Job #21758-8

This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
