ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC Educational Employee full-time grant-funded position of Program and Assessment Coordinator.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois, the Program and Assessment Coordinator will assist the department in monitoring the assessments and academic performance of students enrolled in ABE/ASE/Bridge classes within the college district. Assistance will be provided to the ESL Division as needed. The Program and Assessment Coordinator will have district-wide responsibilities. The Program and Assessment Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of Adult Education in managing ABE/ASE and Bridge classes across our district. The Coordinator will also be responsible for conducting orientations, assessments, and completing enrollment procedures to enroll students in ABE/ASE/and Bridge classes at their assigned sites. The Coordinator must have a broad understanding of SWIC’s and ICCB’s policies concerning registering, assessing, and enrolling students in ABE/ASE/Bridge classes. This position will require day, evening and possibly Saturday work hours. This position is a full-time, twelve-month position, and is contingent upon the availability of continued grant funding.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Ability to fulfill a broad range of duties with minimum or no supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance and supervision of others.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with high school dropouts or at-risk individuals is preferred.
  • Previous history of conducting academic assessments and providing case management services is preferred.
  • The ability to analyze program service data related to assessment and retention of students.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS : $32,813 per year

WORK LOCATION : Belleville campus with district-wide responsibilities.
