Job Description Position Summary
This is a postdoctoral research opportunity in a lung biology lab investigating the cell biology of airway epithelial cells in human disease. Current scientific questions address the structure and function of ciliated airway cells, dysfunction in genetic diseases including primary ciliary dyskinesia and acquired disease such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Human tissues and mouse models are used.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Methodologies commonly used: primary tissue culture, microscopy, analysis of gene expression at the protein and RNA levels, and genetic manipulation.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates should be able to conduct relevant literature searches, develop and troubleshoot protocols, and provide technical and procedural improvements.
- Strong teamwork culture and collaborative efforts require excellent interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Salary Range
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
