Applicants are invited to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Molecular Genetics. We seek applicants with interests in any area of developmental and/or cell biology. Those with proposed programs involving epigenetics, plant systems, high-resolution imaging, quantitative methods, and integrated approaches are especially encouraged to apply.

The Department of Molecular Genetics (https://molgen.osu.edu/) includes more than thirty faculty investigating diverse biological questions spanning molecules to systems. Research efforts are supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure in the Department and across campus in specialized core facilities. Molecular Genetics faculty collaborate within the Department and as active members of campus-wide focal groups including the Center for RNA Biology, the Center for Applied Plant Sciences, the James Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Translational Data Analytics Institute. The university is also home to Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center, a central seed and plasmid repository that preserves, amplifies and distributes these stocks to the worldwide research and education community. 

Qualifications:
Candidates with PhD and/or MD degrees with research interests and at least two years of academic or equivalent postdoctoral experience in the specified areas are encouraged to apply. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
