An NIH-funded position is open immediately in the Henry lab to study the mechanobiology of cancer metastasis. Our lab is interested in understanding how hemodynamic forces shape the biology of circulating tumor cells. We employ a range of in vitro, mouse models and human specimens to explore this emerging area of cancer biology as we have described in a recent publication (Cell Reports 30:3864-3874, 2020, PMID: 32187555).
The Henry laboratory is located in the NCI-designated Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center Research Labs (https://cancer.uiowa.edu/) within the Medical Education and Research Facility (https://www.facilities.uiowa.edu/building/0447) in Carver College of Medicine (https://medicine.uiowa.edu). The position is supported by robust core research facilities present within the Cancer Center and Carver College of Medicine.
