Test and implement new and existing process changes in the HRIS. Act as a major contributor in system integration and upgrades of 3rd party software. Oversee the completion of projects, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy of work and evaluating results. Maintain documentation and procedures for audit and tracking of tasks. Collect, analyze, interpret, and distribute HRIS data for periodic reporting. Troubleshoot problems, and suggest streamline processes to improve overall efficiency, and efficient use of technology. Train end-users on new processes/functionality as needed. Prepare new reports from HRIS (Cognos) and manipulate existing report variables in order to generate ad-hoc reports. Responsible for data integrity and quality assurance of all data. Acts as liaison to IT for HR. Handle a multitude of assignments related to the HRIS demonstrating excellent organizational skills and flexibility. Manage and participate in special projects. Follow legal policies as directed. Responsible for maintaining and updating the HR web pages. Essential Responsibilities and Duties - Develop, lead, maintain, revise, document, and administer HRIS projects owned by the HR department.
- Serve as project lead with other HRIS and IT staff to review enhancements or refine existing processes.
- Act as a major contributor in system integration and upgrades of 3rd party software.
- Document business processes for current and proposed HRIS projects.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting within projects and suggest processes to improve efficiency.
- Develop/suggest forms to aid in ease of data entry.
- Train end-users on new processes/functionality as needed.
- Participate with the internal Banner Core committee.
- Partner with the HR, Payroll, and IT teams to provide and maintain security and data integrity for the HRIS system(s).
- Develop new reports from HRIS and manipulate existing report variables in order to generate ad-hoc reports as required for internal and external customers.
- Responsible for data integrity and quality assurance of all data.
- Act as a data custodian, maintaining data definitions in the data dictionary.
- Inform supervisor(s) of any discrepancies or problems with data.
- Audit existing SLCC processes to ensure accuracy of data.
- Maintain Human Resources department website and ensure accuracy of information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Banner (or other ERP systems) and Cognos. Knowledge of database relationships and SQL. Programming experience. Knowledge of college policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, computer information systems, computer science, or related field. Zero (0) to three (3) years of paid full-time direct work experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience: · Using report writing software. · Demonstrated project management · Proven experience with Human Resource Information Systems such as Banner, SAP, ADP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or Workday. · Strong Excel skills.
