CEO OF REND LAKE COLLEGE FOUNDATION (FULL TIME)


Rend Lake College seeks a full-time CEO of Rend Lake College Foundation. In consultation with the RLC Foundation Board of Directors and the College President, the CEO will be directly responsible for directing, developing and overseeing all Foundation activities internally and externally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of the foundation team.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising program (annual fund, major / corporate gifts and planned giving) and communication plan that reflect the college and the foundations priorities, including the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of alumni, community member, business, corporate and foundation donors.
  • Manage finances, investments, audits and disbursements according to policy.
  • Oversee and manage all foundation campaigns and special events.
  • Oversee the foundation scholarship program including the review and selection of annual and endowed scholarships, and communication with scholarship donors.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
  • Ensure proper recording and acknowledgement of all gifts and management of the donor database.
  • Report to the RLCF Board of Directors and board committee(s) to recommend policies and strategies to meet identified goals and priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain agendas, related documentation and minutes for RLCF board meetings.
  • Work with the Rend Lake College President in supporting the current and future endeavors of the college.
  • Maintain all records for the foundation and assure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, and recognized accounting and reporting standards applicable to fundraising.
  • Participate in a variety of meetings, committees, and/or activities within the college's district to communicate information regarding the college and the foundation.
  • Promote a positive public image while representing the College and the Foundation in the public.
  • Participate in professional development activities to further develop expertise in fundraising.
  • 48 week nontenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
  • Four years of fundraising experience preferred.
  • Financial background preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background screening process.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • $65,000 to $80,000 annually, or as negotiated, commensurate with proven track record in successful major fundriaising.
