Shift: Day Job North Georgia Technical College is seeking an online Humanities Adjunct instructor to teach based on the semester system. Position is for Fall semester beginning April 22, 2022 and ending December 12, 2022. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teach methods in instruction. Provide students with appropriated course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines) and utilize course management software efficiently and effectively. Adhere to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction. Prepare and maintain competency-based course syllabi and support materials for all courses, with effective use of course management software. Be knowledgeable of institutional policies and procedures. The position is online instruction. Position is exempt. Schedule is flexible hours. Master’s Degree in Humanities. OR Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Humanities. OR Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a Humanities core. OR Master’s Degree in a qualifying field with 18 graduate semester hours representing at least three of the qualifying fields listed: American Studies with a humanities topic focus, Art, Art History, Classics, English/Literature, Foreign Languages with a humanities topic focus, Interdisciplinary Studies with a Humanities focus, Liberal/General Studies with Humanities focus, Music, Philosophy, Religion, Theology, Theatre, Wester/Eastern Civilization. Preferred Qualifications: (In addition to minimum qualifications) Teaching experience at the postsecondary level. Salary/Benefits: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours/No Benefits.
