The Department of Special Education seeks to hire temporary part-time faculty to teach graduate courses in Special Education Educational Diagnosis.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements.Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses.Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the Special Education Chair.

1)Master's degree in Special Education or closely related field such as educational psychology, speech and hearing sciences, or psychology.
2)Current NM license to diagnose students (PreK-12).
3)Minimum of three years’ experience conducting diagnostic evaluations of PreK-12 individuals with disabilities.
1)Doctorate in Special Education or a closely related fieldsuch as educational psychology, speech and hearing sciences, or psychology, by contract start date.
2)Postdoctoral scholarly work in an area relevant to the course.
3)Demonstrated excellence in teaching adult learners.
4)A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
