Advertised Job Summary |
Perform new experimental procedures using human induced pluripotent stem cells to gain novel insights into human cardiovascular pathology. Introduces point mutations in the genome of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) by CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques, differentiates the correctly targeted cells into cardiac muscles, and characterizes the cardiac disease pathology molecularly and electrophysiologically. Analyzes data and prepares manuscripts for various grant submissions and academic journals. Supervises day-to-day activities of undergraduate students in the lab, as needed.

M.D. or PhD degree in related research area or equivalency.

Molecular biology and gene editing technique, stem cell culture technique, effective oral and written communication. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
