Adjunct Faculty in English
The ODU English Department is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach 100- and 200- level sections of composition and literature courses, both for our General Education and Writing Support programs. This adjunct pool will be utilized as-needed to staff sections for fall and spring semesters; applications will remain active through June 30, 2022. Job duties: meet all designated course instruction guidelines; grade assignments and exams in a timely manner; respond to student inquiries in a timely manner; submit grades according to University guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
MA, MFA, or PhD in English or MA or PhD in closely-related field with a minimum of 18 hours graduate credit hours in English courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching college composition or first-year literature courses. Ability to teach in both face to face and online formats.
Conditions of Employment
