RESPONSIBILITIES: SMCC is seeking full-time faculty to teach general nursing content across the curriculum in South Portland and the Midcoast Campus in Brunswick. Responsibilities include teaching15 contact hours or the equivalent each semester of didactic content and clinical supervision/oversight of nursing students in clinical, simulation settings and clinical preceptorships. Flexibility to work in a day or the new developing evening program. Faculty are responsible for developing, modifying, and assessing curricula; continuously improving teaching methodology and student-centered learning; staying current in the field; advising and maintaining scheduled availability to students; participating with other faculty in developing and managing courses, curricula and academic policy; participating in department and college activities, including committee work and college service; involvement with AACN accreditation, and other professional duties related to the position that contribute to the success of the college.
• Master's degree in Nursing and current Maine RN licensure.
• Experience with assessment
• Masters in Nursing
• Current clinical experience
• College teaching experience, including online
• Simulation experience
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $60,062 - $61,864
