Position Overview |
Candidate is expected to design and implement an advanced hot forging die system that integrates machine learning and multiple sensory inputs.

Duties and Responsibilities |
Candidate will specify sensor system, implement it, and develop a validation protocol for the machine learning algorithms. Candidate will also publish journal and conference articles related to the work.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Earned doctorate (or its foreign equivalent) or appropriate terminal degree.
|
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Machine design, including hydraulics, experience is highly desirable. Candidate must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and have demonstrated research experience related to forging simulation software such as DEFORM or FORGE as well as applications experience with instrumentation and MATLAB. 4+ years of industrial experience is also required. Proof of prior teaching experience is also required as candidate may be asked to teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
