The Vice President of Student Affairs serves as the senior student affairs officer and provides executes leadership for the following areas: Student Success Advising, Records, Graduation, Admissions, Recruitment, International Student Services, Testing and Assessment, Financial Aid, Recreation and Fitness, Student Life, Student Life, Student Support Services and Upward Bound TRIO Grant Programs, Student Accessibility and Support Services, Students Connecting with Mentors for success and Student Conduct.
Minimum Education/Experience
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited university.
- 5 years of successful management and administrative leadership in a higher education institution.
- A successful record of responsible higher education administrative experience.
- Applicants must attach transcript conferring a Master’s degree to be considered for this position.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to administration, staff, faculty, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to frequently move about the office and OCCC campuses to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.
This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer, other office equipment, and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Higher Education or related field
An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university.
10 years of successful management and administrative leadership in a higher education institution.
Student Services administrative experience at a community college.

Annual Campus Security Authority (CSA) Training
Work Hours
8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Some additional hours may be required on occasion.
