Marketing and Public Relations Description The Coordinator, Marketing and Public Relations assists the Executive Director, Marketing and Public Relations with a variety of tasks including the production and placement of College advertising and publications utilizing various media channels such as digital/social media, print, radio, and video. The Coordinator works collaboratively with College employees from various departments for the timely and accurate production of ads, web pages, social media initiatives, viewbooks, program brochures, advertisements, and other materials to promote the College. This position works with various individuals and departments to ensure that the College’s website is accurate and current. The Coordinator is also responsible for media placement (buying) and expedition of billing, as well as internal tracking of budget expenses. This position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Public Relations. Examples of Duties 1.Communicates mission, programs, and services for the College via digital advertising, social media, direct mail, print, radio, and video.
2.Designs and produces in-house media (print and electronic), including digital media, posters, brochures, flyers, and videos.
3.Maintains the College’s website including updating copy, images, and announcements.
4.Curates content, maintains schedule of posts, and monitors conversations on College's social media accounts.
5.Works with Executive Director, Marketing and Public Relations to implement marketing strategies.
6.Assists with photographic and video documentation of College-related events.
7.Assists with College-wide emergency communications.
8.Participates in strategic planning and annual planning/budgeting process.
9.Prepares artwork and purchases bulk promotional items for distribution.
10.Required to attend commencement ceremonies.
11.Assists in all College recruitment & retention efforts as appropriate.
12.Additional duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of layout and development of digital media, brochures, publications, and web pages.
• Proficient in creative social media strategies.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Ability to take quality photographs and videos.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), web management software, and iMovie.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Two (2) years marketing, social media, graphic design and/or web design experience preferred.
(A comparable amount of training, education, or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
