Job Title: Quality Inspector Location with zip code: San Diego, CA, 92121 Pay Rate: $23/hr -26$/hr. on W2.
Shift Hours (8 Hours/ 10 Hours): 7 AM- 3:30 PM(Mon- Thurs)
Job Description: - The position is for an onsite Quality Inspector.
- The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards.
- This role involves conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing parts and products.
- The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality control, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other functions.
- This role will support Receiving Inspection located at 8745 Production Ave, San Diego, CA 92121 USA.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Perform inspections of incoming materials and outgoing shipments.
- Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Required Skill Sets: - Previous inspection experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Desired Skill Sets: - Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organization.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education Level Required: - Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Years of Experience Required (if any): - Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
How will the contractor’s success be measured? - Cycle time for inspection lots; Escaped to the floor.
Culture (Will this contractor be working in a collaborative team environment or as an independent contributor?): - Primarily an individual contributor but will need to work with warehouse personnel and Quality.
