Job Description
DESCRIPTIONUnder direct supervision of the clinic manager and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs work which requires specific knowledge and training in patient care duties within business and professions code of the State of California and/or the regulations The Joint Commission (TJC).
These duties also include but are not limited to: scheduling of patient appointments and associated patient system screens; accurate billing; environmental care functions; equipment/supply management; and cleaning/disinfecting the environment. Requires knowledge of medical terminology, on-line scheduling, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics. Position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology.
Previous experience and knowledge in direct patient care and use of EMR.
Online scheduling, universal precautions, and proper use of body mechanics.
Strong ability to take initiative, prioritize demands and work in a team environment.
Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and consistently demonstrate empathy and kindness to all staff and patients.
Infusion/ Oncology experience.
Gyn Onc/Procedures experience.
Epic experience.
Experience working with vulnerable patient populations.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $57,671 - $57,671 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $27.62 - $27.62
