The University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Educational Initiatives requests assistance with internal and external communications efforts, including content creation and dissemination of messaging that plays a critical role in our recruitment, application, and programmatic cycles; including web and email messaging, press releases, newsletters, written stories, mailings, brochures, program booklets, one-pagers, posters, logos, hooks, table tents, banners, reports, and more.
Graphic Designer
- Oversight, review, and management of ND/IEI/ACE brand standards and accuracy in all Institute designed materials for web, email, video, podcast, print, merchandising materials, cards, specialty gifts etc
- Responsible for layout design, print production, and image editing and selection
- Advanced knowledge of Creative Cloud and other job-required software applications; especially InDesign and Photoshop
- IEI and ACE visual design: Liaise with 18+programs and eight initiatives for program needs and graphic creation, editing, and dissemination
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
- Three or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Lightroom
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of Joomla and content management systems
