Job Summary

This position is for a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor to Professor level (1.0 FTE). The faculty member will be a research scientist (PhD) based in the Division of Nuclear Medicine, part of the Department of Radiology. It is anticipated that the faculty member will lead a lab and build a high-profile research program around the development and application of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and multimodal neuroimaging techniques as they pertain to neurodegenerative disorders. 

This is a critical need to the Department of Radiology given the growth occurring in the area. It is expected that this program will attract robust external funding. It is anticipated that the faculty member will make use of existing imaging capabilities within the department as well as the extensive resources available in the broader university community while also expanding them as needed. Collaboration with faculty working in adjacent yet complimentary areas (e.g. radiochemistry, medical physics, neurology, neuropsychology, pharmacology, preclinical imaging, translational research) will also be essential to successful launch of this new lab. 

Required Qualifications*

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:  Ph. D. degree in physics and biomedical imaging, or equivalent combination.  A minimum 3-4 years of postdoc training in related field. A demonstrate research/publication capability, external funding experience, and academic track record.
