Saab Inc., is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual as the Sr. Manager, SKAPA, Digital and AI, Marketing & Sales, responsible for the growth of its Digital and AI portfolio consisting of the Saab Computer Vision Platform, to include AI/ML, automated detection, machine learning, computer vision, embedded AI, surface and undersea platforms and other Products and Services.The primary customers for the Digital and AI portfolio are business industry partners across aerospace, defense, energy and manufacturing and the US Navy, Air Force Research Laboratory, NGA, COCOMs.

This person will develop and implement a successful product growth strategy utilizing existing and new products, which support long-term business objectives focused on business to business marketing and sales.

Responsibilities will include functional management of the Marketing & Sales staff; identification, qualification, and pursuit of significant new business opportunities; and interfacing across disciplines and departments to achieve business objectives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing long-range strategic plans, intimate knowledge of Saab's current computer vision platform, AI domain customer sets, and the ability to manage and coach the Sales & Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct long-term Saab Computer Vision Platform sales and marketing activity to position Saab within future core programs, new technologies, and new business models, focused on business to business growth.

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships with the customer community'

  • Build partnerships and relationships across the defense, energy, manufacturing and aerospace industry

  • Win and secure profitable orders in line with the long term business plan

  • Work with the technical team to identify competency gaps within the organization which are required to achieve long term growth

  • Gain an in depth understanding of the Saab products within the portfolio and work with Skapa business unit leads to identify opportunities to capture US market share

  • Provide consistent leadership to the Sales & Marketing staff to ensure effective and efficient capture activities across the business

Compensation Range: $194,300-$257,500

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • BS Degree in business or related engineering discipline, MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 15+ years Program Management/Business capture experience.

  • 10+ years of directly or indirectly leading organizations of 10 or more individuals.

  • Demonstrated track record leading large scale aerospace and/or defense business capture efforts.

  • Extensive experience successfully negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with large Aerospace and Defense customers.

  • The ideal candidate has direct military operational experience particularly in autonomous systems

Required Skills:

  • Possesses advanced knowledge of the marketing, sales and capture/business strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.

  • Ability to contribute to business execution standards and best practices (scheduling, cost accounting, EVMS, Risk/Opportunity management).

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel 20-40% of time in support of marketing and sales efforts.

  • Capable of obtaining a Secret level clearance.
