General Description
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Health and Wellness Programs Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the excellence and quality of our non-credit health and wellness programs. The Coordinator is primarily responsible for implementation, oversight, and day to day activity of all non-credit, open enrollment, health and wellness programs, such as; Nurse Aide, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Dialysis Technician and Massage Therapy, etc. This position is also responsible for ensuring the compliance of our highly regulated health and wellness non-credit programs. Primary responsibilities include answering student questions, facilitating students through the enrollment requirements, financial aid processing and other funding opportunities, faculty engagement, ensuring all paperwork complies with regulatory requirements, working with faculty to ensure proper documentation is completed, and maintaining all program materials and supplies. The Coordinator will be responsible for working with students to ensure their successfully completion and post1program activities and goals including clinicals, externships, and certification exams, etc.

The ideal candidate for this position will be proactive, detail oriented, an excellent communicator, flexible, positive, and a team player who has experience working with students to promote their success. Candidates must possess the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including students College administrators, faculty, and support staff. Must have a willingness and enthusiasm to learn, grow, and develop the College’s, non-credit, health and wellness programs.

Specific Responsibilities
Implement and maintain administrative coordination of all non-credit health and wellness programs; such as Nurse Aide, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Dialysis Technician, Personal Trainer, and Massage Therapy, etc.
  • Ensure student, faculty and class documentation, are up to state-approved standards and abides by the state’s guidelines.

 

  • Monitor, collect and organize documentation necessary for compliance with Federal Financial Aid for any health and wellness non-credit programs that meet the federal
    requirements, including monitoring student attendance reporting and grades.

 
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student records.

 
  • Coordinate with faculty to maintain inventory of class materials and supplies.

 
  • Prepare class materials, order textbooks and supplies, and ensure availability of classrooms.

 
  • Communicate with potential students; answer program inquiries in person, via email and phone; and work as a liaison with other departments in the College to resolve
    student registration and payment issues.

 
  • Develop reports and track program data such as enrollments, attendance, completion rates, post program outcomes (such as employment, certifications and externships),
    and submit documentation to the relevant Boards or licensing and certification
    agencies as required, etc.

 
  • Serve as the primary contact person for trainers, consultants, faculty, and other departments for the efficient and successful operation of the Division’s Health and
    Wellness programs.

 
  • Serve as the primary contact person for all healthcare non-credit clinical sites.

 
  • Maintain clinical site documentation, such as Certificate of Licensure, clinical affiliation agreement, and state annual surveys.

 
  • Prepare and maintain all audit documentation needed by the Department of Education.

 
  • Provide on-site and off-campus assistance and support to program participants including monitoring progress to ensure successful completion and track post program success.
