The Recruiting Associate will be responsible for the gathering, compilation, and organization of data related to all aspects of prospect evaluation as it relates to high school recruiting, transfer prospect evaluation, opponent evaluation, and current roster evaluation. The generation of reports will consist of data gathered ranging from that provided by external services, internal evaluations, and custom-generated reports to assist in the coach’s decision-making processes. This position will also be tasked with research projects related to advanced scouting on opponents utilizing coaches’ video and other sources to assist the coaches in game planning and in-game decisions based on tendency, situations, and expected outcomes; including tracking of opponent rosters, statistics, historical data, etc. Responsibilities will also include the writing of data based scouting reports to be consumed by the coaching staff in the process of prospect or opponent evaluations. The Recruiting Associate will be the primary source for interpretation of the tremendous amount of data gathered with the goal of making that data consumable and actionable in all facets of the program. This position will assist the head coach in a myriad of data-based research projects related to the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years)
  • Experience with the sport of football
  • General knowledge of a university structure and compliance rules (in concept) and a commitment to adhere to policies as set forth by the university and the NCAA
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient computer skills in multiple programs (Microsoft suite, Adobe, or similar)
