Rider University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director, Financial Aid. The Assistant Director will provide financial aid services to students and families, including packaging, counseling, problem resolution, and financial planning. Administer financial aid programs, assist with program implementation, and manage an assigned case load. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of federal and state regulatory changes and student assistance policy/delivery in assigned areas of responsibility. Assist the Director in development of university policies and procedures, and in ensuring regulatory compliance in all areas.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a field or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with all constituents.
- Demonstrated excellent communication (both oral and written) and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency required (knowledge of automated financial assistance and student information systems strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated effective organization and time management skills are required with a keen attention to detail and working effectively as a team member.
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Institutional policies, procedures, and resources.
- Experience with Ellucian software
