Under the supervision of the Director of Accounting and Finance, the employee manages and accounts for the collection and receipt of College funds. The employee processes registration and refunds to enrolled students maintain records on returned checks and work orders, and audits travel reimbursement vouchers/requests.

POSTING DATE: FEBRUARY 26, 2021

SALARY: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule E3, 05 (range: $31,077 - $45,935).

ANTICIPATED START DATE: APRIL 1, 2021

This position will be based initially at the Wallace Campus in Dothan.

More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process.

Minimum Qualifications/Screening Process

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of five years of documented work experience with cash receipting is required.
    OR
    Associate's degree or the equivalent of an associate's degree (64 semester hours towards a degree program) from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of three years documented work experience with cash receipting is required.
  • Ability to work overtime and non-standard hours.
  • Associate's degree in business, accounting or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in educational accounting or with student accounts is preferred.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE: The President will appoint an Advisory and Interview Committee to include representatives of the College faculty and staff. This committee will employ appropriate procedures, including the review of application packets, interview, and demonstration of competency, to determine which applicants are to be recommended to the President for further consideration. From all the applications received, the advisory committee will select the applicants to be interviewed. All initial interviews will be conducted in person and applicants must travel at their own expense.

Candidates with an associate's degree or the equivalent of an associate's degree should submit employment verification letter(s) verifying a minimum of three years of documented work experience with cash receipts. Letter(s) must include employment dates and job title and be on official letterhead with an authorized personnel signature. If an employment verification cannot be obtained, i.e. business is no longer in operation, an applicant may submit a copy of appointment letters or contracts or pay stubs or W-2 forms to verify a minimum of three or five years of cash collections experience depending on education level.
5. Appropriate transcript identifying the applicant, institution, date degree conferred and verifying the applicant has received the minimum education based on the experience level identified in the vacancy announcement. (NOTE: A COPY OF THE DIPLOMA WILL NOT SUFFICE).
