Westmoreland County Community College is looking to fill a full-time Coordinator I/Assistant Controller - General Accounting position for the Youngwood, PA campus. This position is responsible to manage the accounting operations for the following areas: Student Accounts and Accounts Receivable, Foundation Accounting and General Accounting in support of the Colleges General Ledger. The position requires Associate Degree in a related field required along with three to five years experience in a like or related field; Bachelor's Degree and one to two years experience preferred; one year of supervisory work experience in a related accounting environment, e.g., accounting functions, general ledger, business support, etc.; experience working with a computerized accounting system preferred; related work experience in higher education preferred; demonstrated understanding of wide applications related to technical principles, theories and concepts in field of specialization; demonstrated knowledge of computers and skilled in the use of technology to enhance delivery of work products specifically Microsoft Word and Excel software programs; ability to handle sensitive and complex student and/or employee issues consistently, confidentially and professionally; basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service, this includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction; PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at employee's expense. Basic Employment Verification, National Criminal Database Search, and Five-Panel Drug Screen at College's expense. Prior work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards in current and prior positions. Ability to perform the essential responsibilities/functions of this position. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
