Job Description
The Retention Coordinator is responsible for researching, planning, and implementing effective strategies and programs to enhance retention, student success, and institutional effectiveness for students from populations or courses identified by institutional data as needing additional academic support.
Required Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and two to five years student services/retention experience. The position requires solid computer and database skills, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of student advisement and community college programming is preferred.
Familiarity with starfish and Jenzabar CX highly preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.
Work extended and irregular hours as needed; travel as appropriate.
Salary
E-10, Minimum Starting $47,093
