Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The Clurman lab (https://research.fredhutch.org/clurman/en.html; TST and Human Biology Divisions) works at the intersection of two fields: cell cycle control and the ubiquitin system. While our work focuses on both tumorigenesis and fundamental regulatory mechanisms in normal biology. Our overall goal is to apply new mechanistic insights to understand cancer development and develop new therapeutic strategies.
- PhD, M.D., or M.D., Ph. D (or equivalent degree) in cell and molecular biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Broad expertise in cell and molecular biology methods and the ability to master new techniques and approaches.
- Experience with genetically engineered mouse models of cancer is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Record of productive and rigorous research, including at least one primary publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Ability to independently plan, conduct, and analyze research.
