Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Chief Building Engineer to join our team in San Diego!

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of HVAC, electrical systems and mechanical systems for the purpose of proper maintenance procedures, cost reduction, and tenant and employee safety
  • Oversee the success of the regions' building services business by securing new business, proper management and reporting of finances and providing the industries' best service
  • Work closely with Manager of Building Services and Lead Engineers to create/adjust building preventive maintenance schedules, review service history reports, review and reduce energy usage and operating costs
  • Obtain bids, negotiate vendor contracts and monitor performance
  • Conduct regular property inspections with property manager

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial building operations. A 2-year or 4-year technical degree in building operations and equipment is required.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • SMA, SMT, or LEED certification.
  • Experience working within budget constraints.
Eligibility

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Equal Pay Act for positions located in California. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and other job-related reasons.

Salary range: $92,000 - $100,000 per year

Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
