Primary Purpose of Position: The employee will be assisting the department’s Electrician with maintenance tasks on electrical systems within all 5 of the central utility plants. Employees may also be used by the maintenance department, if needed to assist with power washing cooling towers beginning in March.

Minimum Experience/Education

high school diploma or equivalent

Department Required Skills

Electrically and/or Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning new skills. Must be able to hold a tool of approximately 10 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, repetitive motion with arms, hands, and shoulders.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Previous experience or knowledge of electricity is preferred but not required. Should be able to drive a state vehicle around campus, if needed
