Class Description
The purpose of this class is to provide assistance and support to instructors and counselors in the Kids@CCBC Youth Program. All hours are during the day, no night shift or weekend work required.
The Community College of Baltimore County operates youth summer half-day classes for students aged 7 to 17 at both CCBC Essex and Owings Mills campuses. One Instructional Aide will be hired for each locationMinimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED, current college student preferred.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Candidates are required to successfully pass a background investigation, to include fingerprinting.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a youth camp setting or school-based group activity.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Lead youth participants through all organized activities.
- Participate directly with youth participants in all class activities.
- Ensure the safe travel of participants to and from all activities.
- Turn in participant attendance sheets and regularly monitor group attendance daily.
- Assist instructors in implementing class activities.
- Assist in the maintenance of the cleanliness, safety, and order of daily activities.
- Be available to help students as needed.
- Perform administrative duties as required.
- Understand and follow all program rules, regulations and safety procedures.
- 10. Provide guidance and support for Summer Youth Employment workers as needed.
