The University of Notre Dame has an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Technician at St Michaels Laundry.
Why this position?
As a Maintenance Technician , you will:
- Perform preventive maintenance on all industrial laundry equipment.
- Maintain and/or repair over 70+ pieces of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Perform custodial duties inside and outside the plant.
- Repair malfunctioning mechanical, hydraulic, electrical parts or equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Fundamental knowledge of how pumps, motors and electrical components of equipment work.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read and comprehend all equipment service manuals, blueprints and wiring diagrams. Monitor digital readouts for electrical motors, contacts, switches, programmable controls, and electrical boards. Also monitor valves, regulators, steam traps, cylinders, belts, pulleys, bearings and gear boxes within the plant.
- Knowledge of basic computerized equipment with ability to program/alter programs as operational needs deem necessary. Maintenance and use of equipment to read voltage outputs from 24 V to 480 volts. |

• Technical and mechanical training and experience.
