Chief Executive Officer/President

 

Hearts and Homes for Youth is a private non-profit that has been in existence since 1964 serving young people in the child welfare and juvenile justice system throughout the state of MD. Programs include 4 residential group homes, a therapeutic foster care program and an independent living program for pregnant and parenting teen moms. Administrative offices are located in Burtonsville, MD with a sub office in Catonsville, MD.

 

Qualifications: LCSW-C supervisor in the state of Maryland with at least 10 years' experience in a leadership role. Knowledge of Child Welfare is preferred.

 

Duties: This position reports to the board of directors and has overall responsibility for all operations of Hearts and Homes for Youth in accordance with the agency's mission, vision and policies. The CEO must be able to interface in the community, build lasting relationships with supporters, multi-task, stay abreast of state regulations, manage a budget over $5 million dollars in conjunction with the CFO, work closely with the HR Director to support 60+ employees, fundraise and promote growth of the organization.

 

Areas of responsibility include:

 

• Management of finances to include submission of annual state budgets
• Maintaining census to support revenue
• Grant writing, fundraising and identifying means to diversify funding
• Development and implementation of trauma informed services
• Strategic and operational planning
• Resource development
• Oversee administrative operations
• Building and managing external relationships
• Provides leadership to the board to promote engagement, growth and development
• Develops and evaluates policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with state licensing agencies
• Facilitation of two annual fundraising events- Golf and Gala
• Provides leadership in developing and recommending strategies to keep the business relevant and financially stable
• Participation in all state and MARFY held meetings
• Oversight of the executive management team which includes HR Director, CFO, Chief Administrator, Clinical Director and Executive Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
