Job Title: Part-Time Development Assistant Reports to: Senior Development Manager Charity Navigator is looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Development Assistant in our Saddle Brook, NJ office and remotely. This position will help facilitate Charity Navigator’s fundraising efforts by providing critical administrative assistance to, and as an important member of, our Development Team. We’re looking for an individual who is comfortable with office tasks and donor-facing communications, including:
- Data Support: Cleaning and importing bulk donation data spreadsheets into Charity Navigator’s CRM database. You will also execute manual data entry.
- Administrative Support: You will assist with day-to-day site user and donor support, including correspondence via email and phone. You will also produce donation acknowledgement letters by utilizing mail merges.
- Other tasks Development Team tasks may be assigned by the Senior Development Manager as appropriate.
It’s great if you have any:
- Intermediate Excel experience
- Experience with databases and value data hygiene
- A passion for charity
- Experience in fundraising or marketing

Status:
This role is a part-time, 12-20 hours per week position, with hours per week being the highest during November and December, The Giving Season. The position is expected to start the beginning of November. This role does not qualify for benefits.
We’re a flexible team, including the exact scheduling for this position. The position is mainly remote, however, the Development Assistant must work from our office in Saddle Brook, NJ approximately 1-2x per week. Our team is working almost completely remote, and Charity Navigator adheres to strict health and safety guidelines.
