The Director will also be able to strategically identify and anticipate potential financial or funding gaps and develop a program to manage a cache of research support funds; think about infrastructure needs with a strong plan of sustainability for personnel and a research agenda. This will require a higher-level view of research activities and support while meeting individual or program specific needs with a lens towards maximizing resources and complimentary skill sets to benefit the Center more broadly.
The best candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the development and successful provision of operational research services (regulatory, research coordination, and pre- and post-award financial management) as well as providing administrative oversight of all research activities (including proposal submission, contracting, study start-up, invoicing and close-out), and the growth and maintenance of the research infrastructure for the Center.
