Interrelationships: All physicians, employees, management staff, engineering staff, safety committee, Performance Improvement Committee.
Essential Job Duties:
- · Responsible for performing surveillance activities as directed by the Infection Control Committee
- · Reports to local public health department and regulatory agencies as required.
- · Responsible for ongoing review and revision of all IPC policies and protocols.
- · Provides routine and special education on IPC related topics as needed.
- · Performs inspection rounds on all areas of areas under license.
- · Prepares summary infection prevention and control data for various committees and performance improvement (PI) teams.
- · Participates in assigned committees.

- Education Requirements:
- 1. Licensed graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Experience Requirements:
- 1. 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care, critical care, or long-term care experience
- 2. 6 months experience in infection prevention with participated in IPC basic training coarse for IPC within six months of hire.
- 3. CIC: Certification in Infection Control.
- Essential Skills:
- 1. Knowledge of epidemiological principles and infectious disease, as well as sterilization, sanitation and disinfection practices.
- 2. Knowledgeable of current patient care practices.
- 3. Knowledgeable of adult education principles
- 4. Data analysis skills and use of statistical tools
- 5. Computer literacy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $153,426.00 - $205,374.00 per year
