Interrelationships: All physicians, employees, management staff, engineering staff, safety committee, Performance Improvement Committee.

Essential Job Duties:

  • · Responsible for performing surveillance activities as directed by the Infection Control Committee
  • · Reports to local public health department and regulatory agencies as required.
  • · Responsible for ongoing review and revision of all IPC policies and protocols.
  • · Provides routine and special education on IPC related topics as needed.
  • · Performs inspection rounds on all areas of areas under license.
  • · Prepares summary infection prevention and control data for various committees and performance improvement (PI) teams.
  • · Participates in assigned committees.

  • Education Requirements:
  • 1. Licensed graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Experience Requirements:
  • 1. 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care, critical care, or long-term care experience
  • 2. 6 months experience in infection prevention with participated in IPC basic training coarse for IPC within six months of hire.
  • 3. CIC: Certification in Infection Control.
  • Essential Skills:
  • 1. Knowledge of epidemiological principles and infectious disease, as well as sterilization, sanitation and disinfection practices.
  • 2. Knowledgeable of current patient care practices.
  • 3. Knowledgeable of adult education principles
  • 4. Data analysis skills and use of statistical tools
  • 5. Computer literacy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $153,426.00 - $205,374.00 per year
