The Position

Arrowhead is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join our Research Department at our San Diego site. The candidate will be a key member of drug discovery and development teams. S/He will be expected to:

• Design and execute/conduct in vitro or in vivo studies to facilitate drug discovery and development
• Participate in new mechanistic studies
• Present research findings to project teams and governance bodies and prepare technical reports
• Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab and perform critical experiments
• May mentor/supervise a team of one or more and guide and evaluate the performance of those individuals; is accountable for the effective performance of the team/individuals

Requirements:

• BS, MS or PhD degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry with 0-3 years of experience
• A successful track record of scientific publications in high-profile journals
• Excellent understanding of cell biology, imaging, screening and image analysis
• Demonstrated innovation, creativity and resilience in problem solving
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Expertise in molecular biology and RNAi strongly preferred
