The Campus Security & Clery Compliance Officer provides daily security for employees, students, and visitors. Coordinates critical response activities within the organization and provides critical response preparedness training. Fulfills the requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or Clery Act.
Associate's degree in a related field or Clery Compliance Officer certification.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Proficient using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and calendaring.
Ability to navigate the Internet.
Comfortable using applications on smart phone and other devices.
Strong communication skills.
Strong team player, training, leadership, and motivational skills.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Clery Compliance Officer certification.
Proficient using Maxient (or other incident reporting tools)
Understanding of relational data
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a physical presence on the Escanaba campus as security personnel.
Provide monthly visits and trainings at West Campus in Iron Mountain.
Manage and respond to security incident reports in Maxient system.
Manage all requirements of Clery compliance, including the Daily Crime Log. (on the job training will be provided)
Act as the first point of contact for employees with security concerns.
Keep informed of activities or changes that could affect the likelihood of a security event.
Hire, coordinate, and evaluate consultants to cover security for large events or events with security concerns.
Assist with routine testing of emergency broadcast systems to ensure operation during an emergency
Develop and implement training procedures and strategies based on local and state requirements.
Provide routine security training to employees on both campuses that focuses on personal accountability and preparedness.
Develop and maintain processes and procedures for critical incident responses.
Coordinate and train Immediate Response Team (IRT) members.
Act as the liaison to county and local law enforcement officials.

Pay Rate: $17.12 - $20.14 per hour
Pay Grade Level: G11
Works under the general supervision of the Vice President of Operations.
