DEAN OF THE NORM BRODSKY COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
Rider University, a private, coeducational, nonsectarian university located in Lawrence Township, New Jersey, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Dean of the newly named Norm Brodsky College of Business.
Situated in the heart of the Northeast corridor, Rider University is conveniently located 60 miles south of New York City and 35 miles north of Philadelphia. A long-established institution in New Jersey, Rider is composed of two campuses, in Lawrenceville and Princeton. Under the leadership of its current president, Gregory Dell’Omo, Rider has met the ambitious goals it has set over the last decade. The university continues to gain prominence and is currently ranked by The Princeton Review in its flagship college guide, “The Best 384 Colleges,” and by U.S. News & World Report in the top tier of northern regional universities (now 35th).
The Norm Brodsky College of Business seeks an energetic and entrepreneurial leader who can articulate a vision for the College and provide motivation and inspirational leadership to its faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Recently named for distinguished alumnus and engaged university citizen Norm Brodsky, the Dean will join the College at an exciting time. In each of its 17 undergraduate majors and ten graduate programs, the College seeks to develop in students the skills needed to perform effectively in a variety of organizational settings—multinational corporations, small business and family companies, the service industry and Wall Street—depending on students’ interests and goals.
The Dean will build upon a strong foundation of new program development and student engagement, as well as renewal of the College’s facilities. Working with the College’s faculty, staff, students, alumni, and a broad range of external partners, the Dean will lead the College in its plans to enhance enrollment growth and diversification, develop new resources and partnerships, and expand experiential learning opportunities for students. With a notably diverse student body, the Dean will work with faculty, staff and students to create a culture of inclusion on all levels. Experience with accreditation and program review, in particular the AACSB accreditation process, is strongly preferred as the college prepares for its reaccreditation visit scheduled for February 2022.
